This flag belongs to Matt's Grandfather who died not even a full year ago. He was very proud of the service that he did for this country and loved for people to know that he had been in the NAVY.
If you arent familiar with the Ringgold area you might not know what the reason is for the flags. Well in the city of Ringgold every time there is an occasion to honor vetrans these flags are put up all over the town. The courthouse lawn, up and down roads. There are hundreds of flags. It makes you happy b/c we know how to honor our vets, it makes you sad b/c in order to have a flag that means that the person has passed on. I am so thankful to live in a part of the country that still really understands how important it is to honor all those that give so much and some their very lives for our freedom here in this great land.
