Lesson's learned from Jon & Kate

Okay so a post a friend had on her facebook page really got me thinking about this whole Jon & Kate stuff. Its sad really very sad. I used to love to watch their show. The six kids they have are very close in age to Riley, the older ones close to Zander's age. When they were in their "old" house before they moved into the mansion, I could relate to the pressures they faced as parents. Before they became so wealthy when they would have to think about money and how to spend it wisely. It was easy to relate to them.
So, I enjoyed watching it then.
Ever since they moved to the mansion and started doing all the things they do and buying all the things they buy. I can no longer relate to them. I dont have that kind of money nor probably ever will. How many other people I wonder besides me noticed that they seemed happier when they had less? Mabye b/c when we have less we have to lean on each other more, and it brings a family together along with as a family leaning on God more.
I know that the issues they are having do not have everything to do with money. There is the question of faithfulness on both parties from what I have heard. However, it seems that money and fame has brought most of these issues to their front door.
Its a shame to me to see a family that more than likely otherwise would have been happy ruined all b/c of money and fame. Such a waste.
I feel like the best thing to do would be to cancel the show. Work on the marriage and just get back to being normal, if thats possible now.
The thing I hate most was if you watched the show you knew they were Christians, and they talked about their faith in God, their church did alot to get them through those earlier lean years beofre they had the money from the show/book/whatever coming in. So, it seems sad to me that their faith is no where around now that they are loaded and dont want for anything material.
I wouldve hoped that having a good christian example of how a family should be would have been good for the Christian faith in genearl, now I'm not so sure.
I know no one is perfect. However, its a sad day when we forget our Lord and we forget what put us where we are, and we want for more, and more, and more so much we are willing to sacarafice anything to get it.
I hope that they work things out for those children's sake. However, more than likely I will not be watching any longer.

Matthew 16:26
"For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?

I read this post a few days ago, then remembered what you wrote about Jon and Kate while watching Joyce Meyer on TV (She comes on during naptime, so I usually get to hear the whole broadcast, LOVE her messages). Check it out at: http://www.joycemeyer.org/ourministries/broadcast/
I hope that works and goes to the right video. It's titled "Destiny Altering Decisions"
